What is the difference between Urethane and Rubber Bumper Plates?

Apart from the aesthetic differences and texture,Urethane Plates are able to withstand a higher degree of stress and are more resistant to fatigue and tearing over time.

It also has less flex than rubber, so they resist flexing when dropped. In addition, the Urethane Bumper Plates have a high durometer rating so they will provide less bounce than traditional rubber bumpers.

As with all our bumper plates they are manufactured to IWF standards with a 450mm diameter and centre collar opening of 50.4mm.

• Plate Width: 22mm.
• IWF Standard collar Opening of 50.40mm or 1.98 inches to ensure a perfect fit on all regular Olympic barbells. This also prevents damage caused by loose or incorrectly sized collar openings.
• Zinc plated centre hub.
• Sizes available are 5 kg, 10 kg, 15 kg, 20 kg & 25 kg.
